Repurposed IBC Tote Products
When an IBC tote can no longer serve its original industrial purpose, it still has decades of useful life ahead. We transform retired containers into practical, eco-friendly products for homes, farms, gardens, and communities.
Repurposed Product Catalog
Each product starts as a retired IBC tote that would otherwise end up in a landfill. We clean, modify, and transform these containers into functional products that serve a new purpose for years to come.

Garden Planters & Raised Beds
Grow More, Waste Less
Cut an IBC tote in half and you have a ready-made raised garden bed with built-in drainage. The steel cage provides structural support and the HDPE bottle retains soil and moisture. We offer pre-cut planters in half-height and quarter-height configurations, with drainage holes pre-drilled. Perfect for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and small fruit trees.
- Half-tote holds ~20 cubic feet of soil
- Pre-drilled drainage holes
- Steel cage supports climbing plants
- Non-toxic HDPE safe for food gardens
Starting from $65 per planter
Compost Bins
Turn Waste into Garden Gold
An IBC tote makes an excellent large-capacity compost bin. We cut access doors in the front, drill ventilation holes for airflow, and add a hinged top lid for easy loading. The cage structure keeps everything contained while the ventilation holes promote aerobic decomposition. Produces compost faster than open-pile methods.
- 275-gallon capacity for large-scale composting
- Access door for easy turning and harvesting
- Ventilation holes for aerobic decomposition
- Bottom drain for collecting compost tea
Starting from $85 per bin
Aquaponics Systems
Fish + Plants = Sustainable Food
IBC totes are the go-to starting point for DIY aquaponics. We offer pre-configured kits that include a fish tank (lower section), grow bed (upper section cut from the same tote), bell siphon components, and plumbing. The closed-loop system uses fish waste to fertilize plants while plants filter the water for the fish. A self-sustaining ecosystem built from recycled materials.
- Full kit from a single IBC tote
- Fish tank + grow bed + plumbing included
- Bell siphon for automatic flood/drain
- Supports tilapia, catfish, trout, and more
Starting from $175 per kit
Emergency Water Storage
Be Prepared for Any Situation
A single IBC tote stores 275 gallons of water — enough to sustain a family of four for over two months at one gallon per person per day. We prepare food-grade totes specifically for emergency water storage: thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, fitted with a sealed cap and spigot, and wrapped in a UV cover to prevent degradation and algae growth.
- Food-grade HDPE, sanitized and sealed
- 275 gallons supports a family for 60+ days
- UV cover to prevent algae and degradation
- Gravity-fed spigot for easy dispensing
Starting from $135 per unit (food-grade, sealed)
Livestock Watering Stations
Farm-Ready Water Supply
Keep your livestock hydrated with a repurposed IBC tote watering station. We modify totes with float valves for automatic refilling, reinforced outlets for livestock-proof watering troughs, and stable bases that resist tipping. The 275-gallon capacity reduces refill frequency, saving time and labor on farms and ranches.
- Float-valve auto-refill system
- Reinforced, livestock-proof connections
- Compatible with standard stock tanks
- UV cover for outdoor durability
Starting from $110 per station
DIY Shower / Wash Station
Off-Grid Cleaning Solution
Build an outdoor shower or wash station from a repurposed IBC tote. Perfect for campgrounds, construction sites, farms, and off-grid cabins. We provide the tote with a gravity-fed shower head attachment, elevated platform frame using the steel cage, and optional solar heating panel connection point for warm water without electricity.
- Gravity-fed shower head included
- Elevated cage frame for water pressure
- Solar heating compatible
- No electricity or plumbing required
Starting from $95 per unit
Firewood Storage Cage
Organized Outdoor Storage
The steel cage from an IBC tote is the perfect firewood storage solution. We remove the HDPE bottle (recycling it separately) and sell the cage-only unit as a sturdy, well-ventilated firewood rack. The open-grid design allows air circulation to season wood faster, the steel frame holds up to 2,000+ lbs of firewood, and the pallet base keeps wood off the ground to prevent moisture rot.
- Holds approximately one cord of firewood
- Open-grid ventilation for faster seasoning
- Galvanized steel resists rust and weather
- Pallet base keeps wood dry and off the ground
Starting from $45 per cage
Our Sustainability Promise
Every Repurposed Tote Is a Victory Against Waste
An IBC tote that ends up in a landfill takes over 500 years to decompose, leaching microplastics and chemicals into the soil and groundwater. By repurposing these containers, we give them 20 to 30 more years of productive use — and when they finally reach the end of that life, the HDPE and steel are still fully recyclable into raw materials.
Our repurposing process consumes zero new plastic. We reuse everything: the bottle becomes the container, the cage becomes the structure, and even the pallet becomes the base. It is the ultimate expression of the circular economy.
- ✓Zero new raw materials consumed in repurposing
- ✓100% of the original tote is utilized or recycled
- ✓Each repurposed tote offsets 75 lbs of new plastic production
- ✓Steel cages are infinitely recyclable at end of life
DIY Inspiration
Want to build your own repurposed IBC tote project? Here are popular ideas our customers have brought to life.
Chicken Coop Waterer
Mount an IBC tote on a raised platform with nipple waterers at the bottom. Gravity delivers fresh water to poultry all day without refilling buckets.
Outdoor Fish Pond
Cut the top off an IBC tote, sink it partially into the ground, add a solar pump and filter, and you have an instant backyard fish pond for goldfish or koi.
Tool & Equipment Storage
Use the steel cage (bottle removed) as a secure, lockable storage cage for power tools, equipment, and supplies on job sites and farms.
Hot Tub / Plunge Pool
Line the inside of an IBC tote with a waterproof membrane, add a wood-fired heater connection, and build a deck surround for an off-grid hot tub.
Worm Farm (Vermicompost)
Stack two cut IBC tote sections to create a worm composting system. The top section holds worms and organic waste; the bottom collects nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer.
Portable Dog Wash Station
Attach a pump and shower wand to an IBC tote filled with water. Take it to dog parks, grooming events, or use at home for convenient outdoor pet bathing.
