These workhorses handle everything from water and chemicals to agricultural inputs and industrial fluids.

Reconditioned / Rebottled IBC Totes
Like-New Performance at Used Prices
Reconditioned IBC totes go through a comprehensive restoration process. The existing HDPE bottle is removed, the steel cage is sandblasted and repainted, and a brand-new HDPE bottle is installed along with new valves and gaskets. The result is a tote that looks and performs like new at a fraction of the cost. Rebottled totes carry a new UN rating and are suitable for regulated shipments.
What Gets Replaced

Why Buy Used vs New?
Choosing used and reconditioned IBC totes saves money, reduces waste, and delivers the same dependable performance.
Massive Cost Savings
Used IBC totes cost 40–70% less than brand-new units. For businesses that go through dozens or hundreds of totes per year, those savings add up to thousands of dollars that can be invested elsewhere.
Environmental Impact
Every reused tote keeps approximately 75 pounds of plastic out of a landfill. Reconditioning uses 85% less energy than manufacturing a new container from scratch. Your purchase directly supports the circular economy.
Same Performance
A well-maintained IBC tote can be reused 5–10 times with no loss in structural integrity. Our inspection process ensures every tote we sell meets the same performance standards as a new one, including pressure testing and leak verification.
Our Quality Inspection Process
Every tote that leaves our facility goes through a rigorous multi-point inspection to ensure it meets our standards.
Visual Inspection
Trained technicians examine every surface for cracks, UV damage, discoloration, and structural deformities in both the bottle and cage.
Pressure Testing
Each tote is filled and pressurized to verify watertight seals on the valve, cap, and bottle walls. Any leaks mean the unit is rejected or sent for reconditioning.
Valve & Cap Check
All valves are tested for smooth operation and leak-free closure. Gaskets are inspected for wear and replaced if needed. Caps are torque-tested.
Grading & Labeling
Each tote receives a grade (A through D) based on condition. A detailed condition report is generated and the tote is labeled with its grade, date, and previous contents.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between used and reconditioned IBC totes?
Used IBC totes are sold as-is after inspection and basic cleaning. They may show cosmetic wear but are fully functional. Reconditioned (rebottled) totes have a brand-new HDPE inner bottle, new valve, and a refurbished cage, making them essentially like new in performance while costing significantly less.
Can I use a used IBC tote for drinking water?
Only food-grade IBC totes that have been properly cleaned, sanitized, and certified should be used for drinking water or any food-related storage. We offer FDA-compliant food-grade totes with full documentation of previous contents and cleaning procedures. Never use a non-food-grade or unverified tote for potable water.
How many times can an IBC tote be reused?
A well-maintained IBC tote can typically be reused 5 to 10 times depending on its contents, handling, and storage conditions. UV-stabilized bottles last longer in outdoor environments. We recommend inspecting totes before each reuse and replacing bottles that show UV yellowing, stress cracks, or warping.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes, we offer significant volume discounts on orders of 10 or more totes. The larger the order, the better the per-unit price. Fill out our quote form or call us directly to discuss bulk pricing for your specific needs.
What does the UN rating on an IBC tote mean?
The UN rating (such as UN31HA1 or UN31HZ1) certifies that the tote has been tested and approved for transporting hazardous materials per United Nations standards. The rating includes information about the tote type, maximum gross mass, test pressure, and manufacturing date. A current UN rating is required for shipping regulated materials.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship IBC totes throughout the continental United States. We also offer local pickup from our Charlotte, NC facility. Shipping costs depend on quantity, destination, and whether you need full truckload (FTL) or less-than-truckload (LTL) service. Request a quote and we will include freight pricing.
What grade should I choose?
Grade A totes are ideal for sensitive applications where appearance and minimal wear matter. Grade B is our best value for general industrial use. Grade C totes work well for non-critical storage or agricultural use. Visit our grading guide for detailed descriptions of each grade.
